Re: Current CACC Adoption Guidelines

-----------------------------------------------------

In an effort to ensure the best possible adoptions for animals and adopters alike, the following CACC adoption guidelines are to be followed in all shelters:

1. No animals that are pregnant, or deemed to be possibly pregnant by a licensed veterinarian on general physical examination, may be adopted through the CACC adaption program without the prior approval of Dr. Kopp.

2. Pitbulls over the age of 7 months will no longer be placed in the adoption wards without the prior approval of Michael Pastore or Dr. Kopp.

3. No animals with hair loss (alopecia) of unknom origin may be placed in the adoption wards without a written examination by a licensed veterinarian. Several types of skin conditions may be contagious to people and careful examination by a veterinanan is a always required before placement of any such animals in these areas. Any hair loss noted on an animal should be brought to the immediate attention of a technician or manager.

Thanks for your cooperation!
