Mark Ross Photo Gallery

Mark Ross:

At once both an artist and a photographer with a deep and abiding love for all animals, this former
volunteer photographer for the New York City's Animal Care & Control pictured the shelter residents
he formerly photographed with an unflinching eye for showing the inherent grace, charm and inner
beauty of every animal he trained his lens on. It's as though he was in tune with each little soul and its
individual character. You can see that intimacy in one after another of his splendid photographs,
many of which will be featured in his new book "Animal Shelter Portraits" scheduled to be on the
bookshelves in November.  In the interim, we are delighted to display a sampling of a few of his
masterful photos that you won't see in his upcoming book. For more information regarding Mark
Ross and his ACC photos, please read this Daily News
article.  Click here  to pre-order a copy of
Mark’s book to be distributed in the U.S. by Random House and published by Mark Batty Publisher.
